Copyright (Fees) Regulations

The Board approved new categories of users to be incorporated into the Copyright (Fees) Regulations including the digital platforms. This strategic decision aims to maximise collection of copyright fees from users of music. The proposals have been transmitted to the Ministry of Arts and Cultural Heritage.

Private Copy Remuneration Scheme

The proposals for the implementation of the private copy remuneration scheme have been forwarded to the Ministry of Arts and Cultural Heritage for further review and action. This pivotal step marks a significant stride towards ensuring fair compensation for creators.

Digitalisation Project

The Board endorsed the implementation of new software solutions and the development of phase 2 our website. This marks a crucial step forward in our digital strategy.

New Board Member

Mrs. Indurani Chatoo joined the Board, representing the category of Literary Author replacing Mr. Sedley Assonne. Sincere gratitude is expressed to Mr. Assonne for his contributions during his tenure on the Board.

Reprography

Ongoing discussions are underway regarding the introduction of collective management of reprography. The project of reprography is under the responsibility of the Reprography and Other Works Committee.
