Election of seven members of the Mauritius Society of Authors (MASA)
NOTICE OF ELECTION
Notice is hereby given to all eligible members of the Mauritius Society of Authors (MASA) that the election of seven (7) members of the Board will be conducted by the Office of the Electoral Commissioner on Sunday 24 August 2025, and that the Returning Officer will receive notices of candidature on Wednesday 30 July 2025 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Head Office of the MASA, Ave. des Artistes, Beau Bassin, namely –
- two (2) members from the category of Music Author, Composer and Performer;
- two (2) members from the category of Audiovisual/Theatrical;
- one (1) member from the category of Literary Author;
- one (1) member from the category of Publisher; and
- one (1) member from the category of Other Works.
Forms of notices of candidature may be obtained between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on week days as from 9 July 2025, either –
- from the Mauritius Society of Authors , Ave. des Artistes, Beau Bassin; or
- from the Returning Officer at the Office of the Electoral Commissioner, 4th Floor, Max City Building, cnr. Rémy Ollier and Louis Pasteur Streets, Port Louis.
- specify the name, National Identity Card number and address of the candidate;
- specify the category in which he wishes to stand as candidate; and
- contain a declaration by the candidate that he is qualified to stand as candidate.
Notices of candidature received by post, fax or otherwise will not be considered.
